Patek Philippe 5235G & the Mystery Surrounding its Release

The reference 5235G was slated to be released in 2012 as it was featured in that years catalog and dropped in the 2013 catalog. Since then we have been hearing that the release has been delayed due to production and quality issues. These issues have to do with the new silicon parts. These include the new Spiromax balance and Pulsomax escapement. Either way this watch is going to be worth the wait. It is officially Patek's first regulator. For those unfamiliar with what a regulator is please allow me to elaborate. A regulator is a watch or clock that has extreme accuracy (enhanced by silicon parts in this case). The regulator clock or watch is used to set the time for other clocks or watches within a home. Patek’s Regulator will also feature an annual calendar, which is one of the most useful complications in our opinion. This watch is truly understated elegant and a first which will make this watch highly desirable when they start rolling out in mid to late 2014. Price $53,600
