The Apple Watch has been revealed

Yesterday on September 9th 2014 apple finally announced its much anticipated and much hyped Apple Watch. To many peoples surprise Apple passed on naming it the iWatch as so many people had predicted and named it simply, Apple Watch. We here at have been getting many questions from customers and friends alike wondering how the Apple Watch may affect Swiss Watch Sales. We believe the Apple watch is going to dominate the under $500 dollar priced watches. Specifically brands like Michael Kors, Fossil, Swatch ect are in trouble in our opinions. The quartz watches are vulnerable because they are not mechanical watches and are not prized by collectors. They are generally very cheap and will be competing with Apple on market share in the under $500 category. As far as Patek and Rolex are concerned the Apple Watch will have little to no bearing on sales. The people looking for Rolex and Patek watches are looking for something entirely different than the Apple Watch can provide and thusly will most likely not see a decline in sales. In our next post we will discuss why people are drawn to Swiss mechanical watches.
